Mr. Crocket was fantastic. I'm not a parent, but the parent/child dynamic is always such a fascinating one. Utterly attached to one another, in love with the attachment, yet somehow equally desperate to be free from it (child wants independence, parent wants less back-breaking responsibility.) Crocket only wants the role because it comes with complete control over the kids - and who wouldn't want that? It's interesting because I watched this very different yet thematically similar indie horror movie a month ago, MARSHMALLOW, which would make a strange yet perfect double feature with this.
