So much fun! I wish I could get hold of these wines and weigh in on which was the best pairing.

Keep it up guys!

Thanks, Simon! This was a crazy fun one.

And I always advocate: just look for similar style wines, the exact brand isn’t important! Especially with how every zone of the world has their own brands on hand vs. any other, just run with the stylistic write-up. Find a lower acid orange, a carbonic red (ideally lower acid as well), or a white/red blend from Germany or Austria, etc. No two wines will ever be exactly alike, but hopefully these pairings are ballpark pariings that give you a range, not meant to be super absolute!

Perhaps I’ll try to bring a few to the workshop!

That's a great idea.

Oh wow, that would be awesome. If you two try a few, report back in!

Love the depth here—pairing wine to narrative arcs instead of just flavour profiles is genius. That orange Viognier call is briliant bc the bitterness from skin contact really does mirror that early-episode tension. I've been experimenting w carbonic maceration wines lately and the banana note is real, but you're right that th blueberry needs that lower acidity shift. Graciano's underrated for that exact reason.

Jealous of the Graciano call! I struggled between finding something with blueberry that also felt romantic enough for Scott & Kip.

@Neural - Love that you appreciiate the fine details of this exercise! Cheers, my friend!

@Tatum - You technically beat me to the carbonic punch. It's easier to tweak someone else's idea than come up with it from scratch. But I'm not giving you any extra handicap points regardless. My pride's on the line. ;P
