VINTERFICATION: Script vs. Screen - SIX FEET UNDER Pilot Episode

We compare the pilot script to the final aired episode, and pair wines with BOTH! A Valdepeñas Tempranillo, a Ribero del Duoro Clarete, and a dry red Austrian solera blend!

Welcome to our first “Vinterfication” episode!

Vin-I-fication is what a winemaker does - all the decisions he or she makes - to transform grapes, the raw materials, into a final wine.

And so Vin-TER-fication is when we compare the raw materials of a work of entertanment - the script of a tv episode, movie, or comic - and compare it to the final produced thing.

Today we tackle one of the TV shows that helped launch America’s “Golden Age” of television - SIX FEET UNDER. The Script version vs. the Screen version!

Which holds up better? And what should you sip while reading or watching either?

Dallas had seen this before. Dave (moi) had not. And we had very different takes on which was better - the script or the aired pilot!
